Why would my company get involved with NBC?

Nevada Business Connections is working to ensure the vitality of Northern Nevada’s economy and, by getting involved, you can help contribute to a long-term support of your business.

Now more than ever, a diverse mix of industries that will provide the jobs of tomorrow is essential for the overall economic health and sustainability of the northern Nevada economy. Attracting primary employers from outside the area and helping existing companies expand is the core purpose of NBC. “We are not the experts, but we know who they are” is our motto.

WHAT DOES NBC DO?

NBC is a private business development organization funded by member contributions from both the private and public sectors. As such, we are not a department of local or state government, and do not receive any financial support for operations from the State of Nevada or county governments. Our members include private businesses within the region, cities, counties, institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations.


PRIMARY GOALS

NBC has four primary goals:

  • Facilitate new job creation and capital investment.
  • Champion strategic projects.
  • Balance / diversify the region’s industry mix.
  • Continue to improve NBC membership in both qualitative and quality measures.
